There is a new brand on the design scene and its name is Amphora. An evocative name for a reality that intends to establish itself in the faucet sector and trace its evolution. Guided by an entrepreneurial spirit and a good dose of audacity, the Ponsi siblings – Rocco, Silvia and Fabio, have created a “family company” that is young only in appearance, since it is based on the Ponsi family’s great knowledge and manufacturing tradition in the faucet industry. The new generation, therefore, carries on a long tradition that is part of its DNA, and continues to build on a profound know-how, bringing it into dialog with the present through its innovative and dynamic vision.
The debut on the international scene takes place during Milan Design Week, where the brand also presents its first collection created in collaboration with Studio Adolini. In Reel, as the new line of faucets is called, the entire philosophy of the brand is present: research into technology, shapes, materials and, above all, maximum attention to sustainability.
This is why they have opted for essential and pure lines and for the use of 316 steel (with its characteristics as a stainless, antibacterial and indestructible material). The result is a complete collection of progressive mixers, hot and cold faucets, single-lever mixers and thermostatic mixers, complemented by matching showers and accessories.
The common denominator is a continuous vertical milling in the spout area, a detail that is both functional and decorative. Sustainability, on the other hand, is evident in everything from the choice of materials to the integrated technology for water saving and a conscious and responsible use of water.
In fact, Reel faucets create a soft, linear flow thanks to the combined effect of the slightly recessed aerator and the flow limiter: the comfort generated by the jet is combined with a pleasant visual appeal under the banner of sustainability. Meanwhile, all the faucets and mixer taps in the collection feature ColdStart operation, which minimizes energy consumption by preventing the unwanted use of hot water.
