The giant lamps by Anglepoise

Anglepoise astonishes everyone with its over-size creation. Unexpected success for the brand, that in 2005 has been appointed by the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre for a triple scale version of the iconic 1930’s Anglepoise desk light as a humorous reference to the beloved Anglepoise lamp used by Dahl in his writing hut.

The Original 1227 Giant Brass Lamp became an icon of the brand as well as the entire illumination world; this is the reason why the Giant line has been enriched with numerous proposals which feature an eccentric and recognizable design. In occasion of Roald Dahl’s centenary year, the brand is delighted to unveil at the Light+Building exhibition in Frankfurt a new, enhanced, and greatly extended Giant Collection, including the first Giant Outdoor Collection, a new Giant wall mounted lamp with versions for indoor and outdoor use, a premium 3-piece Giant Brass Collection featuring solid brass components and a new triple scale Giant interpretation of their best selling Type 75 desk lamp – all this in addition to the Original Giant floor lamp and pendant, which now comes in a stunning new colour palette.

Floor, wall mounted and pentant lamps are part of the Original 1227 Giant Outdoor, now with white inner shade to maximise light output, metal chrome shade cap, etched logo plaque and smart, plus a brand new palette of 15 stunning colours. The Outdoor versions incorporate marine-grade stainless steel fittings, a sealed light unit and durable silicone rubber cable.
