The living room according to Giorgetti is a place with a thousand functions, and more. An open and dynamic space to enjoy with others, or to indulge in personal moments of relaxation, entertainment and – why not? – of work. The company puts order into this varied and mutable identity of contemporary living through rigorous, linear design, where pure geometry dictates the rhythm, form and compositions of the décor. The space, with its versatile character, thus conserves a precise harmony. Giorgetti’s research focuses on perfect proportions in furnishings. This idea can be seen first of all in the Karphi modular sofa created by Carlo Colombo, continuing the designer’s long collaboration with the brand.

Karphi is a project that stands out for an aesthetic of great compatibility and versatility, in constant balance between essential lines and remarkable volumes. The many modules have been envisioned as geometric solids that move in space, creating always different configurations to respond to the different rituals of everyday life. But the linear aspect can be deceptive: the soft upholstery makes each piece into a yielding island on which to rest or spend time in conversation. The insertion of surfaces (in marble, leather or ash wood) with a hexagonal form expands the usage options of the various parts. Another tribute to geometry stands out in the “cordonetto” stitching, in ton-sur-ton or a contrasting color, adorning the lining of the armrests and back: this decorative detail creates a dynamic design, in an array of lines and half-lines that add character to the sofa.
A metaphor of harmony with an oriental touch, the Hero chair is also by Carlo Colombo. Twenty vertical metal slats clad in wood form the base, generating an airy effect while supporting the welcoming upholstered curved shell. The graphic impact of Hero reveals the true DNA of Giorgetti: the wooden facing requires sophisticated craftsmanship, the result of the company’s woodworking prowess and its know-how in the shaping of this natural material into striking artistic forms.

Kukei by Giorgetti, design Mauro Lipparini
Another creation inspired by the Orient and its aesthetic-philosophical principles is Kukei, the new sideboard by Mauro Lipparini that stands out precisely for its essential, clean geometry. Kukei is made by starting with a composition of rectangular parts: the structure (in ash wood with top in ash, marble or leather, and sides in gray smoked tempered glass and aluminium borders) contains a unit (in ash) with two drawers, featuring leather covering on the front.
The result is a game of full and empty zones, lights and shadows, boosted by the LED fixture in the back part of the drawer unit. The sophisticated combination of materials offers further demonstration of how beauty can be embodied in simplicity.

Woody & Mia by Giorgetti, design Giorgetti R&D
In this vision that matches aesthetics with know-how, the tables Woody & Mia (design Giorgetti R&D) offer a pair of separate but complementary coffee tables, sharing a sophisticated process of workmanship of the raw material. The low Mia table is made in canaletto walnut and marble, where a solid base is combined with a large, thin top whose skillful angular shaping makes it interlock with the Woody model, whose forms are produced in wood.
Also available in a padded ottoman version covered in fabric or leather, Woody stands out for its full volume and a sinuous irregular profile, conceived to fit perfect with Mia, like two pieces of a puzzle. Driven by this aesthetic approach, combined with the very high quality of the materials and research on finishes, textures and colors, the Giorgetti collections create a living area that adapts to evolving times and trends, remaining constantly up to date.
