With its surprising organic form, the Layout system of storage cabinets designed for Alias by Michele De Lucchi has been developed in a project that assigns value to completely new uses. The novel extruded aluminium parts attached to the oval element of the base and the top outline the support structure in the project, on which it is possible to attach doors and shelves.
Layout Secrétaire stems from the pursuit of new expressive languages of an unusual material for a décor complement, creating a secrétaire cabinet with a pure volume that encloses a desktop and two shelves attached directly on the doors, finished with dust-stop seals to protect and preserve the contents.
Through a simple gesture, this abstract piece opens like a flower to reveal its internal workstation, becoming the basic architecture of the office inside the architecture of the room. An essential product, like its characteristic lines, equipped with wheels for easy mobility and designed to respond to new needs of working and living in the office environment.
