From touch to sight, smell to hearing. Poliform design is a choral hymn to the senses and the emotions they can arouse. It is this plurality of positive perceptions that accompanies the company’s new collections as much as the exhibition itinerary in which they are immersed, in a synergic understanding between furnishings and architecture. At the Salone del Mobile.Milano, Poliform reveals a new side of itself, more experimental and daring thanks to the interaction between different inspirations and sensorialities, made by the brand to align with perfect coherence with the “Poliform Style” and its ideal of contemporary living, perfectly translated by the creative signatures of Jean-Marie Massaud, Emmanuel Gallina and – for the first time – Stefano Belingardi Clusoni.

The scent of leather and bergamot that characterises Poliform’s new fragrance, the muffled effect of the liquorice-coloured 1970s-style carpeting that softens the transition between the stand’s rooms, the warm and chromatically full palette that colours the spaces balanced by the natural tones that define the furnishings instead – a gentle and complementary contrast – up to the new musical background specially designed to accompany visitors along the exhibition route. What Poliform thus intends to offer is an all-round experience of its lifestyle, demonstrating that the “Poliform House” is a concert of stimuli and immersive atmospheres.
This ideal is then crowned by the furniture and in particular the new collections. One of the company’s long-standing signatures, Jean-Marie Massaud, returns, working on the theme of tactility and thus comfort, offering a new interpretation through the Ernest sofa: soft, unstructured volumes inspired by a feather cushion are composed to create islands of relaxation and at the same time highly functional.

A strong and impactful aesthetic is also found in the collection’s eponymous coffee tables, which expand the stylistic feature of modularity: like a jigsaw puzzle, the coffee tables can be combined in the middle of the room or used individually next to the Ernest sofa. On the other hand, the designer plays with sight and above all imagination with Adrian: at first glance a furniture sculpture, it turns out to be a charismatic, almost archetypal table, made contemporary by the asymmetrical position of the legs, and enriched by fine finishes that enhance its versatility.
Emmanuel Gallina, on the other hand, gives form to lightness and levity in the Orbis upholstered furniture collection, composed of two sofas and an armchair with a wrap-around back: both raised off the ground by a slender foot inspired by the workings of jewellery, they are an invitation to conversation. While Stefano Belingardi Clusoni – a new addition to the company’s creative team – designs a new collection of furnishings with a strong architectural value, stimulating a dialogue between the two sectors: thus was born Loai, a small armchair with a visible structure that recalls the classic compass shape, and an enveloping backrest. Between furniture and systems, between day and night, between indoor and outdoor, each solution is perfectly integrated with the others, in terms of style and compositional coherence, demonstrating how Poliform is increasingly representative of complete living and an immersive atmosphere, with a view to a recognisable lifestyle and total architecture.
