During the days of Paris Déco Off, the international event in the field of furnishing fabrics, Rubelli unveils the new creative directions taken with Formafantasma (Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin).
The new collection is on view, the first created by the design duo, in the usual showroom at Rue de l’Abbaye, the company’s first foreign affiliate opened in 1976. The concept of the location has been fully revised.
The space of 300 sqm is organized on two levels, becoming a framework where the fabrics are the absolute protagonists. The space can change its physiognomy to respond to different needs – the launch of a collection, an event, a party – thanks to a system of drapes and tracks. At the entrance, a two-story curtain becomes a theatrical presence to enhance the presentation of the group’s products.
The furnishings have also been developed by Formafantasma: a series of work tables and a cabinet placed at the entrance, which due to a system of fabric-covered panels that can be easily replaced makes it possible to give the objects different guises.
This new chapter for Rubelli made its initial debut in September, with the presentation of the first collection by the design duo, and the re-launch of the brand Kieffer, part of the group’s portfolio since 2001. At the time an announcement was made regarding the redesign of the space in Paris, which now fully embodies this new vision, after a period of “soft opening.”
