The third flagship store of Fendi Casa in the world, and the first one in China. The brand has opened a new showcase in Shanghai, following the boutiques in Milan, unveiled in April 2022 at Piazza della Scala, and in Miami, the first point of sale in the United States, activated in November that same year. Key cities, strategic markets that outline a growth plan for the brand, implemented by Fendi and Design Holding in 2021, through the joint venture Fashion Furniture Design (FF Design).

In Shanghai, Fendi Casa tells its story at 1788 Nanjing West Road, in the historic and very central shopping zone of Jing’an District, inside a space of 756 square meters on the ground floor of a prestigious building.

“Asia, and China in particular, have always been preferred destinations for the world of Fendi – says Alberto Da Passano, CEO of FF Design. – The goal is to consolidate the international presence of Fendi Casa, through a space of vivid identity, not just in terms of aesthetics but also in terms of values, the story and the spirit of the Maison.”

A refined location, featuring Arabescato Vagli marble that acts as an architectural leitmotif in the space. A luminous facility with large windows that create games of transparency, welcoming the home collections of Fendi into an interior created by the in-house team of Fendi Casa, coordinated by the artistic directors of Fendi, Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Delfina Delettrez Fendi.

The flagship store offers the most representative items from the creative interactions of the brand, which include Controvento, Marcel Wanders, Dimorestudio, Toan Nguyen, Chiara Andreatti, Thierry Lemaire, atelier oï, Formafantasma, among many others. Compositions for the living, lounge, dining and night zones add rhythm to the space, in stylistic and chromatic harmony, playing with enveloping lines and warm hues.

A typical example of the concept, shifted into the foreground, is the Peekasit Shanghai Edition, the new chair inspired by the iconic Peekaboo of Fendi, to expand the project “The Peekasit Journey” which has made stops in Milan and Los Angeles. This limited edition comes in FF jacquard velvet in the tonka color, with an external shell covered in soft shearling in a rich shade of ivory, featuring contrasting threads. The perfect expression of the spirit of the Maison.
