Paolo Castelli: the call of the Orient

A path towards internationalisation starting from China, an extensive and structured programme which aims to reinforce the brand and distribution throughout the world in a short time, a solid partner to share this growth strategy with. Paolo Castelli holds a clear vision for the future. A future which speaks Chinese.
The inauguration of the new, exclusive Beijing showroom will take place tomorrow, in partnership with Red Star Macalline, a leading company in Chinese furnishing retail, listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange.

The event heralds a series of openings scheduled to take place by the end of the year in Shanghai, Schenzhen and Kunming, as well as destinations beyond China’s borders, including Dubai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Miami. The Chinese partner and developer’s aim is to achieve ten inaugurations by 2018.

A refined and eclectic concept of a Paolo Castelli interior will be presented to the market, as part of the Inspiration by Paolo Castelli Spa collection.
The new Beijing venue, inside the Glory Casa luxury shopping mall, heralds a scenographic interior constituting the “synthesis of a path of fine and meticulous research which draws inspiration from a trait of distinctive and unique Italianness,” the company explains.
Hence the contemporary elegance of living interiors, represented by the models Elegance and Lemma, with characteristic chiaroscuro tones. Dining areas are dominated by the large tables For Hall Table Oval and Mars: curved and delicate lines which enhance plays on material combinations. The final touch is provided by the luminous and scenic presence of large chandeliers Venus Oval, Allure and My Lamp Suspension Rectangular.

Lastly, this affinity with the Orient has been further endorsed by the company’s participation in the exhibition “Memory and Contemporaneity. China Art Today”, at the 57th International Venice Biennale, with the new arm chair-icon Pagoda, manufactured in limited edition.
