Fornasetti, an infinite story

“Imagination, fantasy and creativity are indispensable for the soul and the spirit. Those blessed with them are bound to give them to others, and thus fantasy breeds fantasy and poetry breeds poetry for all, every day.”
This was the motto of Piero Fornasetti, the founder of the company that bears his name. Piero’s son, Barnaba, now runs Fornasetti, where he keeps his father’s style and ideas alive.

Fornasetti has just opened a new store in Milan, in the building where Filippo Tommaso Marinetti – the poet who founded the Futurist movement – once lived, bringing an extra level of culture to an already sacred place.

The three-storey store has a full seven windowfronts looking out on Milan’s Corso Venezia, with each room representing a place to discover and rediscover the Fornasetti style. A heady mix of vintage, luxury, irony and poetry, the store is home to countless unique objects and iconic images which come together to create an instantly recognisable brand.
The new Fornasetti Store gives customers the chance to personalise objects from the brand’s range. And of course, each bespoke project is personally supervised by Barnaba Fornasetti.

In the world of design and luxury, Fornasetti represents an island of independence, or rather an archipelago made up of hundreds of stories, dozens of creations and nearly 100 years of life. It is testament to Fornasetti that they have never lost sight of their original identity in that time.
