In the world of high fashion and design, the use of refined and distinctive natural materials for the creation of new boutiques is becoming increasingly popular. The new flagship store of Max Mara in the luxury district of Omotesando at Aoyama, Toyko, is a striking example of this trend. The space has been designed by Andrea Tognon Architecture and Margraf, which has produced the interior floors and facings.

As the second largest store in the zone, the facility is organized on two levels, with an area of 400 sqm. The interior features design elements with an accent on lightness.

For the flooring, Travertino Rosso Margraf has been carefully combined with concrete and carpeting, creating a game of organic and geometric forms, offering a surface full of contrasts. The theatrical games of light, triggered by the reflections of mirrors and metal surfaces, seem to blur the boundaries between the building and its surroundings.
