The language of nature

The landscape inside and outside the Montchalet resort in Ortisei speaks with a seductive voice. It is embraced and inhabited by a strong material presence, that of the fine marble varieties of Antolini

Reinterpreting the style of construction in the Alps in a contemporary way, the 5-star Montchalet resort is immersed in the splendid landscape of the Dolomites, in Alto Adige, at Ortisei. A project ‘comme il faut’ to match the magnificence of the setting, making the natural world its strong point to offer high standards of hospitality, dining and wellbeing. The luxurious spaces have the intimate atmosphere of a refined mountain residence, generating harmony and psycho-physical balance.

The interior design relies on the fundamental contributions of selected materials, colors, furnishings and finishes, to transmit the emotional and sensorial aspects that are so decisive for an enjoyable stay. The idea of ancient atmospheres is conveyed by wood combined with stone.
Several areas have been enhanced by the exceptional quality of Antolini’s materials, unique, exclusive natural stones that Marco Pezzutto, owner of the hotel, has chosen for their solidity and evocative power.

In the wellness area, Patagonia granite (Exclusive Collection) clads the wall of the swimming pool with slightly shaded fields that stand out against a pale or translucent backdrop, veiled by earth tones alternating with sophisticated black and gold ramifications. An effect that becomes even more theatrical with backlighting, giving rise to a mutable game of reflections and highlights.

The private bathrooms of the suites feature Sequoia Brown marble (Exclusive Collection) with soft grain, putting an accent on affinities for spaces where the protagonist is water. This approach applies to the walls and the floors, with the latter in a particular slatted version (Woodstone Collection) – arranged horizontally or diagonally – to convey the perception of warmth associated with wood.
