The close bond between creativity and craftsmanship, the basic values of the Bottega Veneta brand, is clearly visible from the entrance door of the new flagship store in Paris: a dramatic glass handle, a unique piece created by the Japanese artist Ritsue Mishima. Opened in coordination with the launch of the Winter 23 collection, the space at 12 Avenue Montaigne, with its area of 800 square meters, transmits the corporate standard that has remained intact since its founding in 1966.

The Labor et Ingenium that cultivates things made by hand in the workshop or the laboratory, and has recently also become a school in the context of the production center in Vicenza, to nurture the next generation of talented artisans. A fantastic voyage across past, present and future, entering the areas of the new store in the French capital, the first envisioned by Matthieu Blazy, creative director of the brand since 2021. A structure centered on a luminous retail space with an open plan, punctuated by welcoming areas in which to sit, glanced by the intimate VIP rooms and fitting rooms.

Two essential materials dominate the two levels. First, the Venetian glass in squared blocks, set into the floors, ceilings and walls to form a geometric grid of diffused, homogenous light throughout the store. And then Italian walnut, used for the panels that frame the glass blocks and to add character to the curved spaces of transition of the staircase and the corridor-gallery set aside for the jewelry. The Drop motif by Blazy appears throughout the store: in the hooks and handles in brass, and on the mirrors that create rippled reflections, suggesting the aquatic landscape of Venice.

Fine craftsmanship meets with maximum expression in unique furnishings, honed down to the smallest details. Like the hangers in wood and glass, made to measure by Venetian artisans. The soft leather seating and wool carpets replicate the sensorial fantasy of the Bottega Veneta collections. The modular shelving creates a sense of discovery and play. The store in Paris also offers a new service of in-store personalization for selected leather goods, as well as all the customary categories of products by Bottega Veneta.
