With offerings in line with the local market, and an overall area on a human scale, the Brussels Furniture FairĀ is a perfect platform for furniture makers to come into contact with sector professionals. Looking towards the future, the fair has chosen to focus particularly on nature, which plays a fundamental role not only as a source of inspiration and materials for design, but also as a regulator in relation to the growing challenges of climate change.

The visual design of the fair has been developed from this perspective, while various aspects of the event have been reassessed. The organizers have concentrated on the aesthetic impact of the pavilions and the entrance zones, which have been decorated in relation to natural themes. This year also sees the launch of the ā€œECO-Storiesā€ label, with which visitors can see at a glance which exhibitors are actively working on ecological solutions. Continuing with the emphasis on sustainability, like last year the BE-magazine will be provided in digital format, with a special newsletter and blog, to also communicate with visitors beyond the four days of the fair.

The response on the part of exhibitors has been positive, surpassing the turnout in November 2022, with a substantial increase in the number of participants from Scandinavia: including Ecolife Beds, Dan-Form, Tenzo, Innovation Living and Torpe. Pavilion 4 is already sold out, for the first time since 2018. Pavilion 5 welcomes two new names: Beka and Saunaco. Pavilion 3 has increased its area for exhibitors, as has also happened with Pavilion 6.

The Square, slightly smaller in area this year, presents inspirational design offerings, as well as the creations of design students. This is the location of the concept ā€œBubble up your Store,ā€ a sort of futuristic furniture store where dealers can meet suppliers useful for the optimization of their points of sale. A few meters away from this square, a well-furnished relaxation zone has been set up, where visitors can sit back and enjoy the magazines provided by the publishing partners.

Once again this year, the trend corridors become the ideal place to discover the latest developments, and like last year the section hosts the Balthazar Awards, assigned to the designers who present the most original, unusual and innovative solutions, on Tuesday evening (7 November 2023), featuring a new prize ceremony.
