To create an authentic culture of sleep has always been the main objective of Flou. A dimension in which comfort and wellbeing are basic, indispensable values. The brand has a strong desire to create settings packed with thrilling and emotional details, the result of careful selection of materials and fabrics that can coexist in perfect balance. From the many successes and honors – like the Compasso d’Oro awards assigned by ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale – to the growing orientation towards new objectives of sustainability, with reduction of environmental impact in the production phase, everything inside the company tells a story of constant research, new developments and conservation of the highest quality standards.

While today the mission of wellbeing also extends to the living area and beyond, thanks to the first outdoor collections, the true heart of the company remains the night zone of the home in all its aspects: a constellation of décor complements, from bedside units to dressers and benches; linens and bedding in the widest range of textures; accessories, mattresses and pillows; and of course beds, the true protagonists of the settings.

Models of great excellence like the first bed with a removable cover, the iconic Nathalie by Vico Magistretti, which has become an integral part of the history of décor and design, and is still an inimitable bestseller today, stand alongside the company’s most recent creations, including the Baia double bedMaking its debut during the latest Salone del Mobile in Milano, Baia, a soft, essential, refined and elegant bed, stems from the creativity of the designer Emanuela Garbin, who has envisioned this model as a place of quiet, in which to let oneself go, cradled in complete relaxation.

The slight curves are a reminder of gentle waves on the sea, an enveloping embrace, a smile that is synonymous with joy and serenity. Baia relies on clean lines and a minimalist style, which nevertheless conceals complex sartorial prowess, always one of the strong points of the textile beds in the Flou collection. Every detail of the composition speaks of harmony, starting with the headboard enhanced by a game of visible stitches. Like the base, the headboard is shaped with just a hint of an arch: the soft upholstered frame is supported by metal feet with a matte burnished finish, for a contemporary design image of extreme visual lightness.
Available in three sizes – for mattresses measuring 160×200 cm, 170×200 cm and 180×200 cm – and with a completely removable cover, Baia comes in fabric or leather, while the platform features adjustable slats.
