A universe of colours and comfort, created with the new offerings of Mara. A universe that takes form in the concept ‘Setting Colours’ where seating and tables in a dynamic composition reveal an original identity of the company: lively, enveloping, even domestic and – obviously – colourful.
‘Setting colours’ marked the presence of Mara at the Orgatec fair in Cologne in October. It now comes back to life, in a reduced but representative format, inside the Gabriel showroom in Milan – with a splendid view of Piazza Castello. Mara, in collaboration with this partner, has set up a corner for socializing, discussion, business and relaxation at the same time, ready to welcome architects, clients and design lovers in the month of December and throughout January.
The objective? The presentation of new creations, including the Icon seating and the Follow tables (with a patented built-in mechanical height adjustment system), and in more general terms of the new image of Mara, in which colour becomes a key of interpretation. A palette that expands from red into a series of analogous hues and shadings, becoming part of the range of available finishes.
A choice not only connected with colour trends, but above all dictated by the desire to shift the company’s collections (primarily for offices and public spaces) into the residential sector as well. The increasingly ‘hybridizing’ of private spaces and work zones offers new territories to explore, and new applications for the firm’s design. The technical core remains the same, but it can also be positively interpreted in home contexts, thanks to extreme flexibility and an aesthetic that establishes a clear dialogue with a wide variety of styles.
The Icon chair is a good example: it revises the typical tub chair thanks to a built-in mechanism that permits independent movement of the seat and back, while its enveloping, soft lines make it ideal in the living area or the contemporary home office.
