Nara, Ube, Mush. Three distinct collections, in terms of forms and functions. But united by a refined, elegant style, as in all the creations of Poliform, with the signature of Jean-Marie Massaud, a long-term relationship for the brand, sharing in its language and its character. The unity is also based on materials, with an accent on vividly natural finishes. With these collections of complements, Poliform brings a breeze of authenticity into interiors, expressed through clean lines and the finest raw materials. Nothing is artificial, nothing concealed: the pure expressive impact is the result of the organic profiles of tables and consoles, relying on the sensorial force of solid wood.

The entire 2022 collection, to which the three lines of complements belong, embodies a harmonious, enveloping way of living: linear or slightly curved shapes, comfortable but never excessive padding, spacious systems for intriguing perspectives. All the compositions, for the living area or the night zone, make balance their main characteristic. The smaller elements have the job of enhancing the scenario with coherent forms and striking personality.

The Nara family of tables has expanded to contain a bench and a console: natural evolutions of the line, the two new entries reinterpret the soft allure of solid wood (black elm stained or gold walnut), crafted with the skills of fine cabinetmaking. This can be seen in the base, which preserves the distinctive arched profiles, and in the intentionally large thicknesses, conveying the full impact of the structural solidity. Versatile in terms of placement, the products of the Nara collection are a passe-partout for contemporary interiors.

Ube by Poliform, Design Jean-Marie Massaud

Apparently more like a sculpture than a piece of furniture, Ube plays the role of a stool and a fascinating presence, defined as “a work of art that takes on functional meaning in the living area.” For its production, the company utilizes a block of solid wood in the black elm finish. For the form the designer has taken his cue from the coco de mer seed, a tropical fruit with an evocative, sensual shape, in a concave composition that becomes a comfortable nest for sitting.

Mush by Poliform, Design Jean-Marie Massaud

The Mush tables also reflect this natural approach, in a lively combination of geometric lines originally created to accompany the Brera sofa. The crafted quality stands out in the black elm model, where the thickness of the top is the result of handmade workmanship. It is joined by a round, high variation entirely covered in cowhide. Many other models are available – square or rectangular, always with rounded corners, or circular, in different heights and measurements. All representations of a minimal aesthetic that meets a sophisticated spirit.
