Kartell by Laufen enhances the bathroom by applying a creative approach to the functional genetics of its spaces, an structurally pithy design freedom to the concrete character of necessary objects, juxtaposing plastic and ceramics, squared lines and multicolored transparencies in a fluid, never rigid architectural scenario.
The clean geometric design of the ceramic pieces and cabinets creates a starting point around which it is possible to formulate your own style in the bathroom, combining accessories whose eclectic transparency brings lightness and offers a chance to play with color, reinforcing variably lively atmospheres.
Kartell by Laufen is a complete, well-rounded collection in constant evolution. The wide range of products – including large, essential bath fixtures, sinks in different sizes and configurations, faucets with simple but ingenious forms, shower trays and bathtubs in freestanding versions or with wall attachment, furnishing components and modules – has now been enhanced by new colors, textures and finishes. From the new chromatic variants for the fixtures and accessories, to the research on metal for taps and mixers.
New colors and forms: a continuing evolution
Matte and soft touch finishes successfully mingle with the rest of the collection, conveying a contemporary image that is easy to interface with any type of décor. The white and gray already offered in the past are joined by black and anthracite for the washstands made in Saphirkeramik, a ceramic material based on research conducted by Laufen, with extreme strength that permits the creation of squared lines and very slim borders.
The tapware also has an important role to play in the collection: the various assembly options and finishes permit countless combinations with the ceramic fixtures. The formal minimalism of the mixers and columns with cylindrical bodies is softened by the elegant line of the curved spout, which is perfect for large washstands or bathtubs.
Ochre, mustard yellow and blue-gray are the new colors for 2021 to apply to various compositions of cabinets and drawer units, which match compact linear design with ample storage space. These items, like the whole collection are also by the studio Ludovica+Roberto Palomba.
The décor is completed with different, versatile transparent, colored or matte black accessories, which can easily be deployed outside the bathroom as well. Like, for example, the Max Beam stool, the All Saints mirror, the Shelfish shelf, the Rifly lamps of the stackable Sound-Rack, also perfect in the living room, or the Boxy soap dish and toothbrush holder, which can also be used as storage items on a desktop.
