Material empathy

Creative freedom, experimentation, Murano glass: this is the engaging mixture of the exhibition “Empathic. Discovering a Glass Legacy,” with the participation of designers and an installation by Luca Nichetto. In Venice, from 11 September 2021 to 10 April 2022

To involve and attract designers, especially the younger ones, to work with and take inspiration from the small but remarkable reality of Murano, with its precious heritage. Each piece embodies great skill and creativity, produced by InGalleria Art Gallery under the supervision of Alessandro Vecchiato, involving the best glassworks in Murano, each specializing in a particular technique of workmanship. “By asking Luca Nichetto to invent and curate this exhibition –Vecchiato says – I wanted to see what would happen if we all met a challenge, experimenting, breaking down the grammar of forms, techniques and individual ingenuity, to achieve unprecedented results.”
