D Studio opens in Milan

For the first time under the same roof: B&B Italia, Maxalto, Azucena, Arclinea, Flos and Louis Poulsen

“The place to be” – one of the most eagerly awaited openings of the design week. It’s D Studio Milano, the new retail destination that brings together all the brands of the Design Holding group, namely B&B Italia, Maxalto, Azucena, Arclinea, Flos and Louis Poulsen.

After the first D Studio in Copenhagen, on Sunday 5 September D Studio Milano opens its doors, at Via Durini 14, an address associated with the historic flagship store of B&B Italia. An immense space of over 2150 square meters, a gathering place for professionals, clients and enthusiasts, for a direct experience of the best of Italian and Scandinavian design, from the icons of B&B Italia to the sartorial creations of Maxalto, the classics of Azucena to the kitchens of Arclinea, the high-tech and experimental lighting of Flos to the famous lamps of Louis Poulsen.

The architecture design of the facility is by the architect Massimiliano Locatelli, who has revolutionized the former flagship store of B&B Italia, recouping the meaning and spirit of the building, a former auto showroom from 1954 designed by Studio Sommariva. The display installation has been created by Piero Lissoni, art director of B&B Italia, with a masterful multibrand narrative, a choral itinerary across the various companies, conserving the specific identity of each brand, in a large space for a complete selection of offerings for the home.
