Cabla by EMU, designed by Lucidi-Pevere: new additions to the 2024 collection

The 2024 Collections by EMU are a true celebration of the company’s philosophy. The new outdoor catalogue offers many décor proposals – new creations and range expansions – to create settings that are ideal for an experience of the “Italian garden” with its focus on comfort, convivial enjoyment and relaxation. The atmosphere is enveloping and hospitable, directly inspired by the culture of Made in Italy for outdoor living. The primary ingredient is a type of design that combines aesthetics, technical aspects and durability in a perfect balance.

The company’s know-how based on over 70 years of experience in the outdoor sector has been interpreted to generate lasting creations, ready to stand up to time and weather (thanks to materials of the highest quality), but also to interact with spaces, getting beyond passing fashions because of their constantly timely forms.

Angel by EMU, design Angeletti & Ruzza

These are the principles intrinsic to the new offerings of EMU, the outcome of skillful and traditional crafting of steel and aluminium, combined with other materials suited to outdoor use like teak, bamboo, stoneware and flameproof fabrics. The technical spirit is then shaped into organic, soft and enveloping lines, for a seamless relationship with the surrounding panorama.

One ideal representation of these principles is the Angel collection, that comes from working with aluminum to shape the ideal of lightness. Designed by Angeletti & Ruzza, Angel is a complete collection of dining and lounge seating, joined by tables of different sizes, including a coffee table.

The common denominator, besides the material, is an airy but soft style. The structure in aluminium tubing creates a sinuous curve at the acks of the seats, to ensure maximum comfort; in the armrests, it is wrapped by the covering, which extends to generating enveloping wings; in the bases, it triggers a game of lines and angles that boost the smooth effect of the various parts. The result is a collection of great elegance, ideal for residential and hospitality contexts.

Terramare by EMU, design Chiaramonte-Marin

While the technological research conducted by EMU permits the creation of collections with a strong personality and high design performance, at the same time it fosters creative mix-and-match arrangements within different but complementary lines. For example, Quadro and Terramare are two new table models, with a versatile and dynamic identity. Quadro stands out for its ample proportions, for up to eight table settings, and for its design featuring a removable and replaceable central insert, available in perforated sheet metal, FSC teak or stoneware.

Terramare table expands the furnishings family of the same name designed by Chiaramonte-Marin, including two new sizes and forms: in aluminium and stoneware, the table comes in a version for four seats (100x100cm) or eight (150x150cm), thus responding to the needs of entertaining in the home, or those of various contract applications. Both pieces can be utilized in tune with the many EMU collections, creating synergies in terms of style and function.

Plus4 & Coupole by EMU

They seem to have been designed together, but instead derive from two distinct concepts the Plus4 family of tables and Coupole seating: sharing an elegantly classic style, they are a eulogy to hospitality en plein air. Whether the rectangular or oval version, Plus4 in fact plays with extensibility to accommodate from 4 up to 12 seats, thanks to a butterfly mechanism of the internal extension that facilitates opening operations. Coupole, on the other hand, reinterprets EMU’s best seller of the same name in a modern key, distinguished over time by its backrest motif inspired by the shapes of Brunelleschi’s Dome.

Finally, a sublime example of harmonious synergy between the collections is the pair Nuvola and Emily, an outdoor roofing system and kitchen, respectively. Nuvola and Emily bring with them a new way of understanding outdoor living, where there are no more limits to the enjoyment, comfort and beauty of outdoor spaces. With Emily, it is possible to recreate the pleasure of cooking with all the comforts and functionality of an indoor kitchen but outdoors.

Nuvola & Emily by EMU

Made of aluminum with a stoneware top and raised off the ground by extruded aluminum legs, it consists of assemblable elements – used individually or combined to create various complete and functional compositions – where each module can be opened or closed, with intermediate shelves or side containers and fulfill the various functions of cooking, washing, barbecuing or simple countertop. To make these operations even more enjoyable, Emily is easily combined with the Nuvola system, a cover that is linear in aesthetics and transversal in use that furnishes while protecting outdoor spaces, whether residential or contract. The adjustable and adjustable slats as needed, and the integrable LED lighting system make this 4×3.5mt sized pergola perfect in every context and need: sheltering from the sun, creating corners of privacy and relaxation, defining spaces. With EMU, the keyword is to experiment.
