A winning combo

If you combine Opera Contemporary, the luxury furniture brand Made in Italy, and Lanerossi, an icon in the history of Italian interior and textile design, now the owner of Marzotto Lab, the result is a special edition chair presented at the Fuorisalone 2021

Starting on 4 September,in the Opera Contemporary showroom at Via Manzoni 37 in Milan, New Cosmo “Dots & Stripes” is on view, as the special edition of the armchair designed by Castello Lagravinese Studio, covered for the occasion in fabric made by Marzotto Lab, based on the “Triennale” pattern of Lanerossi, a brand of the Marzotto group.

The collaboration seals the pact between two companies that are symbols of the quality of Made in Italy, with deep roots in the history and tradition of manufacturing, for more than a century. Examples of excellence that have never stopped innovating, now ‘blending’ two outstanding items from their respective production.

New Cosmo – an expression of the woodworking expertise of Opera Contemporary –catches the eye for the quality of its geometric combinations and the chromatic juxtapositions of the velvet covering, utilizing an originalpattern created in 1933 in two variants and presented at the Palazzo dell’Arte during the 5th Milan Triennale.

An evocative composition of dots and stripes, the interpretation in modernist style of the textile design of that period, now offered in tones with vintage and contemporary echoes.“An unexpected raiment that will surprise people with its elegance and originality,” (Silvio Cappellini, President of Angelo Cappellini & C./Opera Contemporary), “for mutual enhancement of aesthetic characteristics, in a winning combo,” (Luca Vignaga, CEO of Marzotto Lab).
