Crossroads of design and contemporary art, a dialogue of international galleries from various parts of the world: the first summer edition of NOMAD – the exclusive event on collectible design, which recently announced its collaboration with Christie’s – will be a fascinating event.

At the historic mansion Chesa Planta, masterpieces by new talents interact with artists and design masters like Frank Lloyd Wright, Gio Ponti, Ignazio Gardella, Alessandro Mendini, Gaetano Pesce, Gianfranco Frattini, presented by the galleries carefully selected by NOMAD: 8 Holland Street and Stephen Friedman Gallery from London, New York-based Clearing, also with offices in Brussels, Angela Weber Möbel and Larkin Erdmann from Zurich, Carwan Gallery in Athens, Galleria Luisa Delle Piane and Galleria Rossella Colombari from Milan, Galerie Knoell of Basel and Mercado Moderno of Rio de Janeiro.

A list of well-known names in the world of collectible design, along with special projects created exclusively for this summer fair. The innovative flair is seen in original projects by Yali Glass – a new generation of master glassmakers – in collaboration with jewelry designer Antonia Miletto; Design Editions with limited editions by Keiji Takeuchi, Mikal Harrsen and Studio Charlie; a collective project by three Lebanese designers – Rumi Dalle, Hala Matta, Roula Salamoun – presented by the gallerist Iwan Maktabi; an exclusive staging by Loro Piana Interiors with the designer Raphael Navot; as well as Andrea Caminada, Christo, UNNO Gallery, Timeless Alchemy… all joined by the exhibition NOMAD YESMAD curated by the New York-based artist, collector, writer and curator Kenny Schachter.
