Long-distance cruising, maximum luminosity on board, agility and easy handling, with a particular focus on the shallow waters of the Bahamas. As well as total privacy for all guests. These were the requests advanced to the shipyard of Gruppo Fipa by a long-term client, who took part in the creation of his third yacht with great enthusiasm. As a result, the features of the new Maiora 35 Exuma model correspond perfectly to his personality, starting with the draft of less than 5 feet – ideal for exploring the waters and beaches of Cat Island, Abacos, Paradise Island – with an overall length of 35.1 meters and maximum width of 7.8.

A decidedly innovative vessel, with two helm stations, as per the specifications of the expert yachtsman and lover of the sea, who also intends to pilot the yacht on his own. One is the station at the bow of the main deck, exclusively for the yachtsman, with direct access from his cabin; the other helm is located on the flybridge, a solution that allows him to leave the helm any time he wants to take a break.

The flybridge becomes the key design point, because it is totally convertible: from a closed space, it can be transformed into an open area thanks to windows that can be lowered at the sides and the front – opting for low furnishings to provide a continuous view towards the outside – a tailgate that opens and vanishes, and a sliding ‘moon-roof.’

A luminous design, combining sober lines and accentuated details, was another request of the client: the interiors are enveloping, with canaletto walnut and wenge finishing, matched with the warmer tone of oak for the ceilings. The use of lacquer adds elegance to the spaces: in the professional kitchen with its balanced combination of glossy gray and absolute black granite; in the bathrooms of the owner and the guests, with the dark matte versions on the Grey stone used for the floors, showers and washstands.

The large living area is enhanced by a refined cabinet faced in slate, and two entirely customized cellar units, one for wine and the other for an exceptional collection of tequila.

Outside, the furnishings by Paola Lenti are ideal for life in the open air. The owner also wanted to extend the concept of comfort to the use of the tender: it has a length of over 6 meters, and enters the sea though a lateral floodable garage (the yacht can host up to 11 people), and there is another tender, of about 3 meters, for the crew.
