The Medusa head, the fretwork, the Baroque decorations. For lovers of the Versace style, the company has just signed a licensing partnership with Lifestyle Design Group, the Italian division of the American Haworth Group, for the development, production and distribution of Versace Home furnishings. “The home collection has always been very important in the Versace world,” says Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO of Versace. “The agreement with Lifestyle Design, the renowned international group that stands out for fine craftsmanship and excellent design, brings to Versace the best expertise for the creation of furniture, which will permit us to further expand on the market in a dynamic, modern way.”
Donatella Versace adds: “As a designer, the idea that Lifestyle Design will produce our furniture collection is truly exciting. When we launched Versace Home, we wanted everyone to be able to experience the Versace lifestyle, not just through fashion but also in their homes. From now on we can be much more ambitious and continue to expand our collection, thanks to the know-how of our new partners, and this makes me very enthusiastic about the future!”
The Versace Home collection will be sold and distributed through a global network, including a new showroom on Via Durini in Milan, in the heart of the city’s design district.
