The enchantment and expertise of Louis Vuitton, together with its heritage and peerless tradition, shine through in the sublime creations of the Objets Nomades design collection launched in 2012, a synthesis of fine crafts and avant-garde creativity.
Unique and emblematic masterpieces inspired by travel, which year after year showcase all the know-how of the company and the imagination of internationally acclaimed designers: from Atelier Oï to Maarten Baas, Barber & Osgerby to Fernando & Humberto Campana, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Raw Edges, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders, Tokujin Yoshioka, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas, India Mahdavi, André Fu.

These design stars are now joined by the first American chosen by the Maison to interpret the spirit of this iconic collection. In an exclusive worldwide debut at Design Miami/ Andrew Kudless, with his pièce unique Swell Wave Shelf, presents two version with three shelves in glossy oak, with an irregular, fluctuating shape, joined by red leather straps. The inspiration? The erosion of materials, in a tribute to the unstoppable force of Mother Nature.

A crafted masterpiece that reveals the skills of this fashion brand and the innovative thinking of Andrew Kudless and his design firm Matsys based in San Francisco, which explores the relations between form, growth and behavior in ‘material systems,’ biological, geological and synthetic domains, through their intrinsic matter and energy. In a fusion of art, design, architecture and engineering.

Amidst sophisticated, magnificent objects, the luxury expertise of Louis Vuitton is also on view in the heart of the Miami Design District, during the week set aside for art and design. At Paradise Plaza, in the most exclusive district of the city, with an artistic setting, the Maison offers an refined selection of Objets Nomades – Les Petits Nomades – featuring items in leather and exotic pieces, with the world debut of the Sneaker Trunk and the American debut of Malle Coiffeuse, Malle Courrier and Boite Pique-Nique. Surrounded by creations, objects and installations that narrate the enchanted universe of Louis Vuitton.
