Gabriele Salvatori and John Pawson: a creative tête-à-tête in London

The CEO of Salvatori and the British architect offer their thoughts in the Wigmore Street showroom

A creative tête-à-tête , intimate but open to the public: a conversation between Gabriele Salvatori, CEO of the company of the same name specialized in natural stone, and John Pawson, the British architect famous for his minimalist touch.

In the London showroom of Salvatori on Wigmore Street, John Pawson talked about his creative process and sources of inspiration, such as the purity and apparent simplicity of monasteries and the architecture of churches. Pawson also focused on his use of natural stone, introducing his new Ellipse for Salvatori, a line of small objects for the kitchen and the home.

Gabriele Salvatori, in turn, will explain his affinities with Pawson, with whom he has collaborated for ten years, and will explore the beauty and versatility of a natural, precious and strong material like stone. Salvatori will go into the way design is changing, the use of natural stones in interiors and large buildings, and the secrets and strategy behind the success of a company with 70 years of history.
