Itlas, italian wood at the centre of the project

For ethics, for passion, for company philosophy. For developing unique and inimitable designs with a high content of quality and beauty

During Milan Design Week 2019 a new Itlas single-brand store will be inaugurated in Milan, at 35th Via Melchiorre Gioia, to accommodate the full range proposals for living spaces.

The company from Cordignano (Treviso), led by Patrizio Dei Tos and his son Matteo, has been putting wood at the centre of every project for thirty years, a valuable and precious raw material chosen with care and passion not only for the two and three-layer flooring collections, but also for the I Massivi solid wood furniture series and the Progetto bagno furniture system, born in recent years from collaboration with architectural masters such as Marco Casamonti and Studio Archea, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Claudio Silvestrin and Adolfo Natalini. The latter furnishing system grows with a new version in beech wood – from the Cansiglio Forest – of Ellisse, a console with clean and minimalist lines completed with a washbasin in white Carrara or black Marquinia marble and already available in solid oak and walnut.

Renaissance Beech and Foresta Viva Beech are the new finishes of the coverings linked to the Assi del Cansiglio project, which celebrates ten years in 2019. The Cansiglio Forest thus becomes not only a source of precious wood but also the main protagonist of an environmental, cultural and territorial initiative undertaken by Itlas to support the rebirth of the forest – a UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate – devastated by the Vaia storm last October. The fallen beeches were all purchased at market price and reused for a special market campaign, presented at the opening of the new Milanese showroom, which raises the awareness in the consumer about the choice of local Italian beech wood flooring.

In addition to Assi del Cansiglio, Tavole del Piave and Legni del Doge are the historical projects, thanks to which Itlas is appreciated in Italy and in the world, a sign of a profound respect for nature and a great attention to the use of environmental resources that distinguish the company’s history and activities since its establishment in 1988. All the wood used by Itlas comes from forests managed in a sustainable and responsible way, and the entire production takes place in Italy with a manufacturing process that from the logs purchased directly from the owners, arrives at the pre-finished floor, following the life cycle of the product throughout its evolution.

All floors produced by Itlas are 100% Made in Italy Certified. The company is FSC® and PEFC™ certified and committed to protecting the environment through the application and maintenance over time of an Environmental Management System in compliance with the requirements contained in the UNI EN ISO 14001 standard.
