The latest edition of the international design contest has begun. Organized by Istituto Marangoni and the company Cappellini and now in its fourth year running, the competition is aimed at young project developers.
Title 2018: Tales and Tables: new technologies for a new conviviality, concept: the creation of a table linked to the concept of widespread conviviality and technology, based on which participants must convey their own view point by designing a table with or without technological elements.
On the one hand we have conviviality as a special dimension in which people share special moments of everyday life and social cohesion, in this case around a table. On the other hand we have technology, which has drastically influenced such moments.
Aspiring contestants have until the 2nd May. All entries will be assessed by a jury consisting of the School of Design management board and eminent international design experts such as Michele Lupi and Giulio Cappellini.
The winner will receive a scholarship offered by the company Cappellini, to attend the Master of Contemporary Furniture Design which will start in October 2018 at the Istituto Marangoni School of Design, as well as the chance of an exclusive internship at Cappellini.
