Molteni&C doubles its presence in Japan

The first floor of a large contemporary building in Osaka contains Molteni&C’s new flagship store. The new store, which is the company’s second in Japan, following the 2016 opening in Tokyo, confirms its ten-year collaboration with Arflex Japan, a historic distribution company in the area.

The concept developed in the 400 sq m space, which directly overlooks the main street of Shinshaibashi (a renowned shopping district), recalls a contemporary Western home.
Different perspectives, an interplay of light and shadow, alternating delicate tones and colored shades and material combinations (such as glass, oxidized wood, resin and stone ceppo), punctuate the environment, creating a fluid and immersive design journey, featuring sensory suggestions and perceptions.
The graphic hallmark of architect Vincent Van Duysen, creative director of Molteni&C|Dada, is represented by the unmistakable transparencies of the large windows that surround the setting.
The stars of the scene are the Molteni&C collection and the VVD kitchen by Dada, which dominates the large terrace.
