#Snaidero70: the bet of a lifetime

It was 1946 when the Knight of Industry Rino Snaidero founded his artisan workshop in Majano (Province of Udine). Today, 70 years later, Snaidero is among the excellences of kitchen design and icon of authentic Italian design worldwide.

The company celebrates the seven decades with a series of initiatives scheduled throughout 2016, typified by the #Snaidero70 hashtag. Starting from a commemorative exhibition to be held at the company’s premises, made possible thanks to long and meticulous research through archives that unearthed images, words, drawings and records of the brand's history and, at the same time, an astonishing slice of the history of Italy. #70annidiSnaidero also will be a complex digital communication project, with special contents, stories and interviews with people who lived through the various eras in a journey that will embrace a multi-channel approach encompassing all the new social platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

"Yesterday's future is the dynamic present of today’ commented Edi, Snaidero's Chairman, ‘and this achievement is an occasion for us to recall those significant moments that have shaped our history, without losing sight of the challenges lying ahead. Ours has always been a company with a far-sighted approach that has defined trends and styles, and experimented with materials and forms which have forged the identity of a brand appreciated worldwide for its authenticity, quality and distinct character."

It is important to recall the many leading figures who are part of the long Snaidero history including Mangiarotti, Gae Aulenti, Offredi and the prestigious Pininfarina and Iosa Ghini studios or the milestones that proclaimed its international success, as in the case of the Spazio Vivo kitchen (first example of a kitchen island) showcased at MoMA in New York in 1970, and recently chosen for Arts&Food exhibition at Triennale of Milan.
