In the beginning there was Segno: a sofa produced by Reflex and created by the Product Design division of Pininfarina. With clean, almost aerodynamic lines, Segno combined technology, refined details and fluid forms, based on the productive expertise of a company, Reflex, which constantly fills its products with new innovations, and on the vision of a creative studio, Pininfarina, known all over the world for its ability to create timeless works based on exceptional values of technology and beauty.
With a modular wooden structure and padding in polyurethane foam, Segno Indoor has goosedown cushions with polyurethane inserts, patented by Reflex, offering two layers of different carrying capacity to provide two diverse levels of comfort. Today Reflex enters the world of outdoor furniture for the first time, presenting the open-air version of the initial design, again in collaboration with Pininfarina. The inspiration comes from the world of yachting, recreating a relaxing on-board atmosphere thanks to the new colors of the coverings, in soft, warm hues.
The modular structure with wooden slats suggests the elegance and functionality of the deck of a yacht, and it is made in a solid surface material that stands up to extreme weather conditions. The fabrics have been selected for waterproofing, still with a soft, sophisticated texture, and the cushions can be covered in eco-leather or outdoor fabric. In the outdoor version, Segno is available in different configurations (linear with two or three seats, or in the format with a built-in sunbathing station), with padding in polyurethane foam, seat cushions in form-fast polyurethane, feet color-coordinated with the structure, and – as in the original version – down back cushions with a polyurethane insert patented by Reflex.
The series also features the Segno ottoman, where the visible solid surface slats make the nautical reference even more vivid, including feet in the same shade. Keeping faith with the sense of personalization intrinsic to their DNA, Reflex and Pininfarina have created the possibility of enhancing the seating with cushions covered in eco-leather or outdoor fabric, in a matching tone or in contrast with the sofa.
