Contemporary design in Lisbon

Molteni&C has opened a new flagship store in the Portuguese capital, highlighting the brand's vigorous growth in the European contemporary design market

Molteni&C Flagship Store Lisbon

Strategically located on the prestigious Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon‘s main boulevard famous for its luxury boutiques and classic 19th century Portuguese architecture, the new Portuguese outpost of Molteni&C was created in collaboration with Servànt, an international studio and showroom founded by Ana Kurash, specializing in the implementation of high-quality interior design projects. The collaboration with Servànt not only highlights Molteni&C’s commitment to the Portuguese market but also strengthens a fruitful partnership that began in 2021 with the launch of a boutique in the Santos district, the design district of the Portuguese capital.

The flagship store extends over nearly 400 square meters on two levels. It offers an immersive experience in the distinctive Italian elegance of Molteni&C, with areas dedicated to living spaces, kitchen, and dining room. Upon entering the ground floor, visitors are welcomed by a sophisticated living area that includes the Augusto sofa and Regent coffee table by Vincent Van Duysen, as well as the D.154.2 armchair by Gio Ponti, a revered piece from the Molteni&C Heritage Collection. The Blevio table by Ignazio Gardella, along with the Barbican chairs by Rodolfo Dordoni, further enrich the space.

The VVD kitchen, the first designed by Van Duysen, features Atelier Columns and incorporates a mix of materials such as Titan Travertine, Thermo Oak, Nebula Steel, and glass.

Descending to the lower level, visitors find a central living area that showcases the Octave sofa with Louisa and Aster coffee tables by Van Duysen, accompanied by the Tuscany Chaise Longue by Naoto Fukasawa.

The store’s outdoor section introduces guests to the Landmark and Timeout collections. Among the standout pieces are the Palinfrasca armchair with its robust teak structure and the Phoenix sofa — a nod to Mediterranean minimalism with its wrought iron frame and hand-woven polypropylene rope.
