MC+ Design Studio in Los Angeles is an epicentre of creativity led by Mattia Biagi, artist and designer, and Cardenio Petrucci, product designer and creative director. The two have recently opened a space, MC+ Gallery, which features several of their designs. Creating an atmosphere that represents Biagi and Petrucci’s imagination, the space is a seamless fusion of elements from the past and present. The ideal place to showcase the studio’s various limited edition collections, MC+ invites guests to experience the story behind each creation. Located in the former home of Spago, one of the most glamorous restaurants of the 1980s, founded by chef Wolfgnag Puck, it overlooks the iconic Sunset Strip.
The 1,600m2 building itself has a history full of creativity. The original bar from 1982 still stands at the entrance, a time capsule representing the many lives the building has lived. To decorate the floors, MC+ chose Illulian, an Italian brand internationally renowned for its high quality collaborations. Rectangles of colour and softness that cover the entire space like large canvases. Many models from the Limited Edition and Essential collections are on show.
The protagonists are Éclat IN, designed by Monica Armani, with an oval shape illuminated by shiny and brilliant fragments; Floralia Yard Vol. II, designed by Paula Cademartori, in a limited edition like the previous one, brings a colourful and lively touch to any space. The Essential Collection includes the Plain and Plain Lux models, simple and minimalist (the Lux version is illuminated by Lurex glints).
