The new collection of furniture, fittings and finishes, a collaboration between Cimento and designer Patricia Urquiola, will be presented during the upcoming Milano Design Week from April 15th to 21st. Urquiola, having been a collaborator with the Venetian brand in 2022, took up her new role as creative director in January.

“This new role provides us with an opportunity to fully express our creativity, based on the ongoing research that engages our team daily, the experimentation and the ability to customize each project entrusted to us by the clients,” declares William Lucchetta, CEO and founder of Cimento. “Patricia has won us over with her distinctive stylistic mark, with her volcanic imagination, the wise use of colors, materials, and her incursions into worlds adjacent to design and architecture, according to a very personal and never obvious vision”.

Urquiola’s mission is to define the company’s future vision and participate in the strengthening process of the brand. From the outset, the creative director’s avant-garde approach has been evident, based on the search for materials and the introduction of unusual production processes.

“Collaborating with Cimento meant becoming part of a company with an innovative vision for research and experimentation of new languages through the use of concrete materials like their emblematic Cimento, applicable to surfaces and products. But not only that: we have introduced new techniques, such as spray application and molds, which grant greater three-dimensionality and materiality to the projects,” narrates the creative director. “Together, we have already explored inert materials such as glass, quartz and cork, and we will continue to follow this path, expanding our research also to the use of regenerated materials”.
