Décor complements add touches of elegance, helping to personalize the living areas in our homes

Their absence gets noticed. We couldn’t live without the complements that warm up the atmosphere in the home, making it more welcoming and comfortable. Carpets, consoles, mirrors, speakers, screens, bookcases, small tables and poufs complete the décor and establish dialogue with the rest of the living room, telling stories of craftsmanship, technology of art. We combine materials, colors and forms to obtain objects that besides being functional, also make the living area truly our own.

Kasthall updates the Feather collection, offering new colors: Blue Jay (on cover), Hoopoe, Parakeet, Nuthatch and Sparrow. Feather is the hand-tufted bouclé carpet in pure wool and linen, with a characteristic fringe that seems to be made of feathers, creating a border similar to a frame.

Caleido Concept No.1 is the collection of carpets by Battilossi where the pattern is just a pretext to play with textures and colors, creating 27 combinations, where all the elements are in dialogue, within a single rug but also in all possible juxtapositions.

Among the complements of Living Divani, the Alvea console seen at the feet of the Paradigma mirror, both designed by Marco Lavit, play with reflections of light in squared and rigorous geometric forms. The former is a triangle that sublimates the craftsmanship of the wood, emphasizing the concave design of the structure. The mirror, based on the Vitruvian diagram, has four axes along the surface on which it is possible to slide wooden accessories, choosing the ideal asymmetrical arrangement through their positioning.

cc-tapis and the North American design firm Yabu Pushelberg present the new Memento collection: seven handmade carpets produced by Tibetan artisans in the cc-tapis atelier in Nepal. Memento generates a tapestry of personal narratives inside each carpet, transcribing memories and precious moments in Himalayan wool.

The new Tramonto a New York screen created by Gaetano Pesce, presented by Cassina in the new Cassina Details collection, glows with the vibrant colors of semi-transparent polyurethane resin to produce a triptych that gives rise to a true work of art. Pesce recreates the skyline of New York with a large round sun, pouring the colored resin in phases into molds in order to suggest, layer after layer, the evocative shadings of the façades of the buildings. The panels are joined by specially developed hinges in satin-finish brass.

The Airframe bookcase designed by Pio&Tito Toso for De Castelli celebrates the art of beaten metal. The aerodynamic design of the bookcase outlines a slim metal structure of asymmetrical elliptical rings, on which to attach four non-continuous horizontal planes, while the enclosure is defined by a partial cladding, skillfully shaped on the structure.

The 36e8 Glass sideboard (design Daniele Lago) by Lago, an evolution of the 36e8 model, features a surprising visual alternation between the transparency of the containers in extra-clear or smoked glass, and the rigorous storage volumes. Each part of the sideboard has rigorous construction, with cuts at 45°. The elegant glass compartments are combined with an LED lighting system that enhances the volumes and creates a welcoming atmosphere.

Mika by Michael Schmidt for Bross is a handy table whose design is based on a bundle of slender black metal rods arranged at different angles, connecting the two planes with rounded corners. The base is also in metal, coated in black. The top, on the other hand, is available in natural or stained oak, with a matte lacquer finish, or in black Fenix.

Beolab 8, the latest speaker presented by Bang & Olufsen, has been developed as a single element or as part of an engaging home cinema system outfitted with premium speakers. The body of the speaker is made with a single cast aluminium element, in which the volumes of a sphere and a cylinder are juxtaposed and crafted to generate a new solid form. Produced with a cover in wooden slats, the unit is completely made in Denmark.

Raquette, the collection created by Cristina Celestino for Billiani, is a contemporary tribute to the ancient technique of weaving strips of wood. The table takes its cue from the world of tennis, with a structure in solid ash featuring the woven motif, enclosed in a framework.
