Lamps understood as “durable emotional goods, where design merges with utility and the quality of a lighting body capable of lasting over time.” This is the vision that guides Axolight in the creation of lighting elements that meet contemporary interior tastes but are also inspired by the socio-cultural and architectural trends of today’s world. From these reflections comes the new Salina proposal, an outdoor and indoor pendant lamp made of fabric, created by designer Francesca de Giorgi.

Salina fits into the environment, whether residential or hospitality, with indescribable lightness. An effect that comes from the particular arrangement of the fabric (signed Kvadrat, in three color variants) folded at the corners by 4 pinces that create a concave shape: the fabric is now taut, now free in a balance straight lines and curves, but also in a game of shadows and light. The “Dim to Warm” technology then makes it possible to decrease the luminous flux while varying the LED color temperature towards a warmer tone.

Salina, thanks to the special material that covers it, can therefore also be placed in environments with a high degree of humidity (such as bathrooms or spas) and outdoor environments (porches, loggias, terraces, gardens). The concept of in & out disappears and light is free to diffuse.
