Nemo Lighting’s acquisition of a majority stake in Reggiani Illuminazione adds a piece to Federico Palazzari’s vision of creating an Italian-led industrial lighting hub. The entrepreneur, who began fuelling this project in 2020 with the acquisition of Ilti Luce, now Nemo Studio, the architectural division of the Nemo Group, comments as follows: “The first objective of this acquisition, to me, is to bring new competencies within the group, train and attract talents. Reggiani’s top-level technical skills and positioning will allow the group to create important synergies also at a commercial level, expanding the offer, but above all opportunities.” With the addition of Reggiani, the Nemo Group is now more solid also from an economic point of view, with a consolidated target of around 60 million euros in 2023, three production plants, four offices abroad and almost 300 employees worldwide.

Founded in Sovico, Brianza, in 1957, Reggiani Illuminazione is an international benchmark in the lighting industry. The Reggiani family will remain involved in the management of the company and will support Palazzari, who will assume the position of managing director of the group. “From a commercial point of view, the two companies – Nemo and Reggiani – will continue to operate as separate entities, maintaining the respective partnerships, the resulting cooperation and synergies at the production level will strengthen the global competitive positioning” – adds Matteo Reggiani – “making us able to answer to the increasingly broad and sophisticated market needs, with a structured commercial presence in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, China and the Middle East and a distribution network that covers more than 80 countries”.
