One of the first audio/video systems was developed for the F100 yacht designed by Gerhard Gingergast for Gianni Agnelli. This was in the 1970s, when the firm was still known as Gruppo Pellegrini. In 1998 it became Videoworks Spa, already a reference point for the creation of innovative systems in the yachting sector, after which it expanded its range of action to meeting rooms and auditoriums on dry land.

The first 25 years of operation have led to a series of successes, with over 100 employees working in the three Italian locations at Ancona, Viareggio and Milan, and international facilities located in Holland, France, the United States and Turkey, and over 850 projects completed for prestigious shipyards and yachtsmen around the world.

The most exclusive part of the nautical market is still a strategic sector for Videoworks today. A very demanding segment composed of yachtsmen who want to rely on land-quality connectivity to the Internet at all latitudes, with the availability and stability required for access to multimedia contents, as well as for web meetings.

The technological solutions of Videoworks are not limited to audio/video systems, but also extend to avant-garde domotics and technical lighting, especially in relation to onboard connectivity. And a new challenge is now on its way: the implementation of artificial intelligence.

Recent projects include MY SP110 Almax for Sanlorenzo, a concentrate of technologies: the Key-Core Solution is the only centralized rack with 30 units for AV and IT systems; MyInfo 3.0 helps to control the entire yacht from an iPad, smartphone or TV remote. Other features are 5G, readiness for LEO satellite linkage and Pop-Up Speakers.

The list of shipyards is a long one, like that of collaborations on dry land. Videoworks is a partner of Miracle-MOHMI, the I-Labs platform of research and development of innovative domotics solutions for comfort and sustainability of living spaces through monitoring of the emotions of people.

This expertise has led to important contracts, like the PWC tower of PricewaterhouseCoopers at City Life in Milan, where the company has created about 200 multitasking rooms, 100 small and medium spaces, 50 project Rooms, 6 executive rooms, 5 agile rooms, 2 auditoriums and a boardroom.

To improve personal interaction and productivity in all environments, both inside offices and in situations of smart working, has also been the objective of the installations implemented at the Rectorate of the Università degli Studi di Milano. Specifically, the council chambers and reception hall, with multimedia systems for conferences, and a shared control room for live management of events of medium-high complexity.

The firm has also set up meeting and training rooms, updating multimedia options in over 80 classrooms located in the Città Studi area, the Central Area and the departments of Medicine, Nursing and Linguistic Mediation. Furthermore, Videoworks has installed many self-recording studios inside the libraries of the university.
