A merger has been announced between Pratic Spa, a company based in Fagagna, Friuli specialized in the design, production and marketing of awnings and pergolas, and StellaGroup, one of the leading European manufacturers of window closures, building access systems and outdoor sun protection devices, based in Toulouse, France.

Managed to date by the brothers Edi and Dino Orioli, sons of the founder, Pratic is a leader in its sector in Italy, with 40% of its sales abroad. In 2022 the company, which employs 300 people, reached the level of over 80 million euros in sales.

StellaGroup, already a protagonist in Europe, operates in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Great Britain, and now in Italy as well, through 15 affiliates. Structured in three business units – Window Closure, Access, Outdoor – StellaGroup reported 642 million euros in sales in 2022, and currently employs 2500 persons.

The aim of the two companies with this merger is to create one of the European leaders in the sector of outdoor sun protection. The objective of StellaGroup is to support the growth of Pratic on foreign markets, boosting its value as a hub of excellence at the group level for the Outdoor division.

Following the operation, the vice-president of Pratic, Edi Orioli, takes on the position of managing director. He will have the task of consolidating the Italian brand on an international level, in close coordination with Didier Simon, president of StellaGroup, and Frank Schädlich, CEO.

“The entry in StellaGroup is a concrete opportunity to continue our path of growth and to accelerate the development of Pratic: I am certain that the extensive international presence, the strong production know-how, the solid industrial model and entrepreneurial spirit of StellaGroup, and the human values of this genuinely pan-European enterprise, will constitute a valid tool of expansion for us and for our clients,” says Edi Orioli.

“We are very pleased to welcome Edi Orioli and the entire Pratic team into StellaGroup. It is an exciting challenge for us to support this great company in its future growth: its people, its products and industrial capacity will undoubtedly bring an effective strategic impulse to our expansion in the outdoor sector,” say Didier Simon and Frank Schädlich in a joint statement.
