It is immediately clear that the owner of the new Rio 62-meter superyacht by CRN is a lover of life on board. The studios of architecture and design Omega Architects and Pulina Exclusive Interiors have created a tailor-made project, respectively for the exterior and interior design. The requirements were very precise: large personalized private spaces that reflect an advanced contemporary concept of living, but can also be converted for socializing; luminous zones with a joyful atmosphere, full of color, for the younger members of the family; and constant, direct contact with the sea. Of course the focus was also on comfort for the guests (4 cabins for a maximum of 12 persons).

The 62-meter giant, with a beam of 11.2, is organized with four decks served by an elevator, including an upper deck entirely set aside for the owner (about 323 sqm) and enhanced by two large outdoor lounges, a spa-pool sundeck, also for fitness, and an outdoor dining area. Everything is connected by ‘soft’ passages that can be transformed into open-air party zones. This level also contains a large, exclusive owner’s suite with 180° glazing, for breathtaking views of the horizon.

The layout of the whole boat is extremely fluid, with the taut external lines of the hull and the almost vertical bow, conveying a vivid dynamic, sporty personality. The profile of the main deck at the stern becomes harmonious thanks to the typical arches created by the yacht designer Frank Laupman, protecting the deck while conserving lateral and stern views. The indoor and outdoor volumes are perfectly balanced, triggering a perception of fusion and interaction, boosted by large full-height windows.

The interiors have a tropical tone, composed of shades of white brightened by touches of color, lively and exotic decorations, and jungle-style wallcoverings. The hues of the sea, with incursions of fuchsia and gray united by tones of blue and green, also prevail in the furnishings and custom textiles by Zago, a company of the Ferretti Group created over a century ago as a woodworking shop, now an excellent example of manufacturing Made in Italy in the sector of bespoke naval décor.

As well as Paola Lenti, especially in the magnificent outdoor areas, conceived as multifunctional spaces for relaxation and socializing, but also for quiet family moments. The most advanced automation systems are used to control and personalize the atmospheres, using a tablet for climate control, on-off functions and lighting scenarios, opening and closing the blinds and the enjoyment of all the audio-video devices.
