A refined combination of design Made in Italy and award-winning cuisine, that of the chef Mauro Elli in his restaurant Il Cantuccio at Albavilla, in the heart of Upper Brianza. A venue of elegant taste in terms of colors and design, reflecting the harmony and functional quality of a welcoming but sophisticated atmosphere, without excessive ornament. Because the center of the experience is the food, with its full, robust flavors.

The décor, however, becomes the completion of the visitor’s experience at Il Cantuccio. The owner has called on Porada to carry out the entire project of renovation of the historic dining room with fireplace, emphasizing a human and professional bond that links these two cases of excellence in the Brianza territory.

The concrete, rigorous approach spreads from the cuisine to the furnishings in a pleasant harmony of lines, colors and textures. Conserving the historical identity of the site, from the large fireplace to the details in stone, the Porada design team has created a contemporary setting by relying on shades of gray for the fabrics and the wood, a variety of ash in which all the natural grain is clearly visible.

For the tables, the choice went to the Quadrifoglio model, where the traditional solid wood base has been combined with the Polaris top by Abet Laminati, a revolutionary product that combines excellent properties of resistance to scratching and heat with a velvety tactile sensation.

The Evelin chairs pay tribute to the past; the paneling enhances and warms the space, while the Ziggy service tables stand out for their versatility. Certain items, from the wardrobe to the handbag caddies, have been entirely custom made to reflect the chef’s concept of hospitality.

The small adjacent space is particularly elegant, featuring the iconic Infinity table with its artfully shaped base in canaletto walnut – an unmistakable Porada signature for the whole project.
