Ceramiche Refin works side by side with craftsmen, using wood salvaged from Alpine lodges, to create the Cortina collection that combines the strength and qualities of porcelain stoneware with the warmth of wood and its appealing grain. One characteristic of the collection is its ability to combine different types of wood. The facings contain reminders of larch, with its geometric rings, or the essence of spruce and pine, usually utilized for the interiors of haylofts. The planks have been selected from as many as 121 specimens of different wood varieties, recycled from Alpine lodges and barns constructed over 50 years ago. Cortina offers particular formats and patterns alongside the planks, available in all the colors of the collection. Esagono has an original modern look, Herringbone offer an eclectic, versatile pattern based on the combination of different woods, and Chalet, available in various formats and sizes, is inspired by typical mountain homes.
