Auralis: the new hub for lighting

The path began in 2015, with the acquisition of Penta, a lighting brand with a contemporary approach to design. Followed in 2018 by the inclusion of the historic brand Arredoluce (famous for reissues of the creations of design masters like Gio Ponti, Castiglioni and Angelo Lelii). Finally, in 2020, comes the entry of Castaldi with its technical-architectural systems for indoor and outdoor settings.

Andrea Citterio, the man behind this grouping, has laid the groundwork for the creation of a single increasingly specialized company, with a complete range of offerings for the lighting sector. Today the pathway reaches a new destination with Auralis, “the first industrial hub for lighting.”

A lighting group (completely Made in Italy) that already reports consolidated sales of 20 million euros, and has been admitted to Elite, the private market affiliate of Gruppo Borsa Italiana, now part of Euronext: the outlook is to arrive at listing on the Milan Bourse during the course of the next three years.

Under the leadership of Auralis, Penta, Castaldi and Arredoluce will in any case remain three independent organizations, safeguarding their identity, market segments and managers of reference. But this will happen in a logic of synergy, with the redesign and regrouping of functions related to R+D and the technical division, with the aim of making the boundaries between the companies more permeable.

Furthermore, the group (already a presence in 95 countries, also thanks to affiliates in Miami and Singapore, and headquarters in London and Germany) invests in start-ups active in the field of IoT (Internet of Things), in the context of smart cities and smart buildings. It has outlined a sustainability plan that addresses choices regarding packaging, use of electric vehicles, and a gradual transition towards the use of renewable energy sources in all facilities.
