Venini: Gruppo Damiani is now the sole owner

The goal of the company that already held a majority share is to continue to internationalize the brand, especially on Asian markets

Important new developments at Venini. Gruppo Damiani has become the sole owner of the historic Murano glassworks, with the acquisition of the final quota that was still owned by the previous shareholders, some of whom will continue to collaborate with the company.

This choice is part of a path that began three years ago, when Guido, Giorgio and Silvia Damiani, grandchildren of the founder of the historic haute jewelry firm, acquired their initial share in the company. The objective has not changed since then: to bring new energy to a company with almost an entire century of history. The Damiani family envisions a forceful plan of foreign growth, especially on the Asian markets. This is borne out by the recent opening of a new showroom in Seoul, South Korea.

In these years Gruppo Damiani has also concentrated on Italy, with the opening in 2018 of a flagship store on Via Montenapoleone in Milan. In this same period, capitalization has grown to 4 billion euros. The financial side is fundamental, but production is also important. Recently collaborations have been carried out with internationally acclaimed designers like Ron Arad, Fabio Novembre, Peter Marino and Tadao Ando.
