Uniqueness was exactly what the client – Jumeirah Group – required from KEANE, the design firm that oversaw the interior decoration. The firm was asked to create a highly sophisticated cocktail bar, which would become a new landmark in the city, at the top of the Burj Al Arab, the world’s only seven-star hotel. The client wanted the bar to be a modern reinterpretation of Arab luxury, taking direct inspiration from the local landscape and coastline.
The Jumeirah Group’s expectations were certainly not disappointed, thanks to the introduction of forged materials through unconventional techniques that were new to the Middle Eastern market, and to the valuable expertise of industry professionals. The furniture, which was all custom-made for the bar, accentuates the iridescent effect of the gold finishes. This color is the leitmotif of the whole space, which exalts the undisputed opulence of the UAE.
The textures of the walls and the sinuous ceilings are highlighted by the extraordinary effects of the light fixtures signed Melogranoblu: from the trasparences of the Perfume Sphere that vertically outline the environment, light emanates revealing the Art Deco design that distinguishes the location, thus generating sophisticated atmospheres.
