New York is Kettal‘s main destination in May. The opening of a new showroom entirely dedicated to the brand and the participation in ICFF – American platform for global design – are in fact the two projects that the Spanish leading brand of outdoor furniture has planned to carry out in the Big Apple, two outstanding spaces where the most significant and innovative collections conceived to decorate outdoor spaces are presented.
After Barcelona, London, Marbella, Miami and Paris flagships Kettal lands in New York and opens a prestigious location in one of the most popular retail destinations in the city: the Decoration&Design Building on 3rd Avenue. In the exclusive space of the new showroom, as well as within the booth at ICFF, will be hosted the latest proposals by Kettal in terms of furniture and structures for outdoor, fabrics and lighting, a series of prestigious collections that often bear the signature of well-known designers. For example Patricia Urquiola, who designed the Vimini collection for the brand, a series of tables, armchairs and sofas with a slight retro taste. The wicker shell with an elegant traditional weave characterizes the seats, while all the elements of the series share the thick wooden structure.
For the “open-air” and architectural solutions, instead, Kettal proposes an important novelty that fits into the category of Pavilions. PH1 is an architectural system designed for various outdoor uses: urban, maritime or mountain spaces, contract or private contexts. Flexible in terms of functionality, dimensions and materials, the PH1 pavilions offer a covered structure that defines an open space; the side screens – with strips or compact, and the materials – such as stone, wood, create striking effects of transparency and welcoming environments.
