With its new S/S collection Alessi continues to explore the world of creative possibilities. Many showcased proposals, such as Amici, the new cutlery set designed by the Big Game studio, Stefano Giovannoni‘s Mami kitchen knives, presented in a new series completed by the K-Block stock by Anna and Gianfranco Gasparini. The Barknest basket by Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui demonstrate Alessi’s skill in metalworking. And there is also the world of design coffeemakers, with La Cupola by Aldo Rossi, which celebrates its 30th anniversary.
And then there are also the Alessini, a colorful table set originally designed by Alessandro Mendini for the little ones and created in collaboration with Alex Mocika and Giovanna Molteni. Also by Mendini, Tegamino is a piece designed for Officina Alessi with the special input of Alex Mocika and the gastronomist Alberto Gozzi.
2018 is also the year of the centenary of Achille Castiglioni’s birth, to whom the company pays homage through the special edition in copper finish of the Dry cutlery set, with the revamping and a variant with a copper decoration of some pieces of the Bavero tea and coffee set, and a limited edition made of 999 pieces of the AC04 fruit bowl/colander for Officina Alessi.
To be mentioned also La Cintura di Orione, the line of cooking vessels designed in 1986 by Richard Sapper, whose characteristics have allowed to start an important collaboration with the Accademia Bocuse d’Or Italia, which will continue this year with Bocuse d’Or Europe 2018.
