A Middle East space for Driade

An impressive setting by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba studio decorates the new Driade store in Dubai, the first flagship store of the brand in the Middle East.
The space – opened in partnership with the LeCercle Group – will be officially inaugurated tonight, within the Building 8 at the d3, the Dubai Design District.

The brand icons transform into artwork exhibited in a design gallery that witnesses and tells the story of Driade and its evolution. From the baroque collection of vases and centerpieces in blown glass by Borek Sipek to the Piazze Italiane – the famous trays by Fabio Novembre – including the fascinating Miss Lacy seats – pieces from the creativity of Philippe Starck.

Other exhibits include Liba, a rattan chair designed by Borek Sipek, the unmistakable Nemo chair by Fabio Novembre and the newborn Sissi, a vain, sculptural, versatile and contemporary chair designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba.

This special layout, curated by Studio L+R Palomba, will be presented in the evening of 14th November during the opening ceremony conducted by Roberto Palomba himself. The gallery of iconic pieces will be later replaced by Driade’s new 2017 collection of proprietary living and dining room furniture.

“Driade and ItalianCreationGroup pursue our international retail development strategy by stopping by at one of the most prestigious, luxury destinations – says Stefano Core, the group’s CEO and founder – Partnered with LeCercle, to directly exhibit our historical iconic furnishings and our collection to customers we normally serve in European capitals, we have chosen a showcase as exclusive as the Dubai Design District. We consider this to be a very important step to draw closer to our public in the Middle East”.
