Vitra Accessories Collection is the protagonist of the exhibition space dedicated to the Swiss brand at Maison&Objet Paris, that will open tomorrow the doors of the Paris-Nord Villepinte Convention Centre. A line of accessories, objects and design textiles in development, where classic and contemporary signs – from George Nelson to Jasper Morrison, to Ray Eames – harmoniously coexist.
Hella Jongerius, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec introduce new creations in the Accessories Collection, close to re-editions inspired by Alexander Girard. A series of stylised vases that recalls a cloud profiles is Nuange, ideated by the Bouroullecs.
Colour Block Blankets by Hella Jongerius alternates different tones in the strings of the weft; four types of nuances interact in order to create decorations. Close-up colors also for Magnet Dots, functional and circular magnets. Joungerius signs also Dot Pillows, among the other Seat Dot and Coat Dot, where dominates polka dots.
Inspired by the creative talent of Alexander Girard, Vitra conceived also Graphic Boxes and Candle Holder. Decorative motifs for boxes, the first ones; brass candle holders ideated by Girard in 1963, the seconds.
