Longing for flying with American Airlines

Ten-hours flights don’t scare passengers that choose America Airlines anymore, attracted by the novelties brought by the company; starting with the experience of the lounges.

American inaugurated the first relaxing space for passengers in 1939 at New York’s airport. Since then, the refreshment areas had been incredibly developed; the renewed London Heathrow Arrivals Lounge redesigned the surface in order to provide maximum comfort. Ironing and changing rooms, catering service and private showers are ready to cuddle tired travellers after many hours of flight. The remake of the first 15 Admirals Club Lounge succesfully carries on – after the lauch at São Paolo-Guarulhos e Phoenix Sky Harbour – introducing modern furniture, contemporary and refined design embellished by dynamic lightings.

The most innovative ideas are recently started: Flagship Dining and Flagship Lounge. The latest firstly involves six airports and counts massive investments in order to guarantee larger, high-tech spaces. On the backstage, renowned chefs will be busy in fresh and delicious proposals, followed by a large range of wines and beverages. The Flagship Dining – that will debut in 2017 in New York – imagines a different culinary experience; not buffet but waiting service with seasonal, free menu, which will be extened in few times at the Dallas (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX) and Miami (MIA)’s airports.

The American Airlines novelties are not just for the ground services: a new Boeing 777-200 covers the Rome-New York route offering to Economy-Class passsengers a bigger gap between the seats and Wi-Fi connection. Connection that is yet provided in the Business, which includes a Business Suite with reclining chairs, touch-screen monitors and walk-up bar.
